TCWPA 2022 Annual Members Meeting

The Annual Members meeting was held May 14, 2022, at Fort Negley in Nashville. Members approved a ballot for the election of the 2022-2023 Board of Directors, all of whom returned for another year. Members also approved TCWPA’s Annual Report which is available for review at www.tcwpa.org/about/annual-report-2021. Board member, Mike Countess provided attendees with a presentation on the Statewide Preservation Plan which continues to be the highest priority project for TCWPA. 

The Annual Members meeting also included a preservation tour of Fort Negley Park focusing on the African American experience at historic Fort Negley – their story from tragedy to triumph. The tour was led by Gary Burke, Friends of Fort Negley Board Member and Krista Castillo, Museum Coordinator/Site Manager, Fort Negley Park. The tour included an overview of the Fort Negley Descendants Project and an update on the preservation work at Fort Negley.
