Leadership Team Transitions

TCWPA PRESIDENT ANTHONY HODGES RECOGNIZED two new Board members who were approved at TCWPA’s September 2022 Board meeting. On behalf of the TCWPA Board we welcome Greg Wade, Franklin and Myers Brown, Old Hickory as TCWPA Board members. 

Wade has been involved in Civil War preservation and education since the 1980’s when he first resided in the Franklin area. He has written numerous articles for several and he founded the Franklin Civil War Roundtable in 2007. He has also received the Battle of Franklin Trust Legacy Award and the TCWPA Ragland Award. Wade brings to the Board a wealth of knowledge and experience in Civil War preservation. 

Brown served on the TCWPA Advisory board member in his previous role with the Tennessee State Library and Archives as Director of Archival Collection Services and Chief Historian. He served as curator with the Tennessee State Museum and chairman of the Tennessee War of 1812 Bicentennial Commission.  He is author and an adjunct professor at Goodpasture Christian. In his new role as Executive Director of Belmont Mansion.  Brown will bring to the Board the unique perspective of a historic attraction and the preservation challenges they face.
